Gatton VA Primary School - Tooting
This project required a hard and soft secant piled wall to form the basement of the new school. These piles were constructed using continuous flight auger (cfa) piles. Pile sizes used were 600mm and 450mm diameter.
Bearing piles within the basement were constructed using rotary bored piles. These rotary bored piles were bored from existing site level, but the pile concrete was finished at basement floor level about 3 metres below piling platform.
This new school in Tooting included a large basement area for a swimming pool. This project was on a confined site within a built up area.
