My job is to make sure that Carillion Piling wins the right level of work and the right projects.

This line of work includes a lot of variety, both in terms of projects and challenges. The fact that I could utilise my engineering training both in the UK and internationally was a major factor in me choosing this role.

The main challenge I have to deal with is satisfying the aspirations of our customers, in a way that also meets our own needs as a business.

The most important development recently has been the investment by Carillion plc in the piling business. This helps us recruit the best people and ensure we have the most modern equipment, allowing us to deliver the quality that our customers have come to expect.
