David Souter - Commercial Manager

As Commercial Manager it is my role to ensure that all Carillion Piling projects comply with all our contractual and commercial requirements.

In 1986 my first job as Senior Quantity Surveyor was to oversee an M1 reconstruction scheme. As it was my first project, and it was a complete success this was easily one of the highlights of my career.

There are many challenges facing our business today, and we have to continuously deal with delivering quality at affordable costs for our customers. I’m also responsible for making sure that the next generation of commercial staff are as prepared for every task they may have to solve.

When I’m not at work I enjoy watching most sports and play football and golf.
