History
Carillion Piling can trace its roots back 150 years to one of the most successful soil mechanics companies of its age. The company established its reputation on a variety of civil infrastructure and commercial building projects, which often required the solution to significant geotechnical problems.
The company has developed into a piling specialist, with the ability to analyse and resolve all kinds of challenging ground conditions. Throughout the 20th century we continued to embrace new techniques, supporting the growth of cities, road and rail networks and other major infrastructure projects.
Since 1996, our expansion into diaphragm walling and marine engineering has put us at the forefront of land reclamation and docklands development. In addition, we have acquired a substantial fleet of piling and foundation plant and equipment.
Today we are leaders in a number of innovative techniques including the use of polymers for excavation stability, to overcome the cost and environmental disadvantages of bentonite.
